Information about the font designer Joseph Churchward and his typefaces.
Joseph Churchward was born in Samoa, and moved to New Zealand where he founded a design studio in Wellington. In 1969 he released some of his type designs as photolettering through Berthold.
After initial agreements with Chank Diesel and David Buck to digitize his typefaces, this work is now being undertaken by BluHead Studio, and the first few fonts were released in digital form in 2006.
