MAD MEN Posters by Stanley Chow and Christina Perry



This seems to be a great way to launch your career as an illustrator and poster artist. Giving yourself assignments is one of the best ways of building up a portfolio. I just can't get enough of these self-published posters for current TV shows or classic films. See the original posters for Season 4 and the current Mad Men Season 5 posters. And then see the mashup posters from the New York Subway created by graffiti artists cutting and pasting other posters onto the Mad Men promo.

...very interesting post about building a portrait with dice while reading Hacker News. In it, Scott MacDonald explains how to code a script to generate a mosaic of dice from an image. Since I’m more of a designer than a coder, this got me wondering if I could achieve the same effect using only my trusted Photoshop…
