The Armory show was better than expected this year IMHO with a great selection of patterns and use of multiples - conglomerations of similar little objects. This was an large framed piece of tongue and groove flooring, burnt to a crisp and frames. Next to it was a matching frame with a mirror image of the diagonal pattern somehow transferred to canvas.
